SAN ANTONIO — One person was pronounced dead at the scene of a head on collision early Sunday morning, police said.
At 12:10 a.m., the San Antonio Police Department responded to I37 and Corpus Christi Highway to reports of a major crash.
When officers arrived, they said they found two vehicles crashed with a man trapped inside of a grey hatchback.
Police said the man was driving the wrong way when he crashed head on with a minivan carrying a family of three.
The driver and front passenger of the minivan was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center with serious injuries and the backseat passenger was transported to SAMMC, but was not seriously injured, police said.
The driver of the hatchback was pronounced dead at the scene by the San Antonio Fire Department.
