SAN ANTONIO - A public apology, anxiously awaited by hundreds, didn't happen today. Ozzy Osbourne made a trip to San Antonio to apologize a second time for urinating on the Alamo more than 30 years ago.
This time, though, not everyone heard his words of remorse.
His apology was specifically for his new show on the History Channel.
Some fans waited outside of the Alamo more than seven hours to just catch a glimpse of the so-called "Prince of Darkness". Many brought their Ozzy merchandise hoping to get an autograph and meet the rock legend.
At 4:00 p.m., Ozzy made his grand entrance.
You might remember, Osbourne was arrested for public intoxication and for urinating in public in 1982, the night before a concert at Hemisphere Arena.
Ozzy didn't urinate on the main building, but on a cenotaph, a 60-foot structure across the street.
We spoke with fans who think Ozzy should be given a second chance.
"I didn't really believe it, but I'm pretty sure he was all drunk or something," said fan Ricky Gonzalez. "He didn't really know where he was getting off so he just pissed anywhere."
Ozzy was banned for life from the Alamo because of this episode, but was later pardoned for his actions after donating $10,000 to the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, who told KENS 5 they applaud his apology.
Ozzy is here in San Antonio Thursday with the crew from the History Channel. He is filming for an upcoming show starring his son Jack where they will travel the world. He did not speak to the media, but fans still enjoyed the exciting moments catching their favorite rocker up close and personal.
