SAN ANTONIO — New documents show a plane crash on the ground at the San Antonio International Airport was a result of a pilot accidentally hitting the throttles of the plane. The documents also show the accident did more than $6 million of damage.
According to a police report, the pilot said he was getting into his cockpit on Friday, November 15, when his knee accidentally hit both throttles.
That caused the plane to shake and then jump the wedges holding the plane in place. The plane clipped one plane, then hit another and came to a stop.
Two of the planes were totaled, each were estimated to valued at around $3 million. The other plane had $20,000 of damage to its wing.
No one was injured in the accident.
