SAN ANTONIO — If you're worried that your vote didn't count this election season, there's a few ways to confirm that it went through.
If you completed and submitted a mail-in ballot, check the Texas Secretary of State's website to track your ballot. All you need is to have the last four digits of your social security number and driver's license number.
For Bexar County in-person voters, it's a little more complicated.
The Texas Secretary of State keeps data on early voting and Election Day turnout for every election. For the Nov. 5 election, voter data is available online the day after the votes are cast here. By scrolling through the page, you can find your name and make sure your vote is counted.
When you get to this page, select "2024 Nov. 5 General Election" from the menu.
After that, choose the date you cast your vote under the "Early Voting Turnout by Date" section. Scroll through the list of counties to find where you voted and click the link under "Voter Details Report."
Then you'll download a file with a list of names. To find your voting record, use Command-F or Control-F to for your last name.
If your name is there, your vote has counted.
