SAN ANTONIO -- In 2007, a 21-year-old man was shot in the face in his apartment. Almost a decade later, investigators have yet to identify the killer.
Texas DPS is asking for the public's help in solving the murder of Blaise Allen Wright. The victim's sister desperately hopes someone will come forward with helpful information.
Back in 2007, the victim was fatally shot at this apartment during an apparent burglary.
"Everybody loved my brother," said Chelsea Baker, who was only 16 years old when her 21-year-old brother Blaisé Allen Wright was killed.
Nine years later, she is pleading for the public's help. She's hoping a sketch of a female driver obtained from a witness after Wright was found dead in his apartment on February 2, 2007, will generate leads.
Witnesses also told police she and two males left in a gold colored car.
"There was a struggle, He had been shot in the face," Baker said. "Every day you just wonder if someone will ever come forward. Somebody knows something."
Wright was a 2004 graduate of Samuel Clemens High School where he was active in football and track. He was working on his dream of becoming an mechanic when his life was cut short.
"It would bring us some peace knowing that person is off the street and can't hurt anyone else," Baker said.
DPS is asking for anyone with information to come forward to help solve this crime. Individuals can submit a tip through the Texas Rangers' Cold Case website here: http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/texasrangers/UnsolvedHomicides/index.htm
