SAN ANTONIO -- A teenage girl was rushed to a local hospital after she was hit by a car while skateboarding, according to police. The San Antonio Police Department said Monday that the girl, Nadia Pastrano, later died.
Police told KENS 5 at the scene the girl was on her skateboard by herself near Loop 1604 and Gold Canyon Drive around 11 p.m. Saturday when the accident happened.
The driver of the car immediately pulled over, and when police and emergency medical crews arrived on scene, they found the little girl unconscious.
The girl was taken to University Hospital in critical condition.
