Texans game not airing in San Antonio due to NFL broadcast rules

CBS Sports and KENS 5 do not have broadcast rights for Sunday's Houston Texans game.

The Houston Texans game against the Philadelphia Eagles will not be shown on San Antonio local television Sunday due to NFL broadcast rights rules.

Fox Sports has exclusive rights to broadcast Sunday NFL games involving NFC teams, while CBS Sports has exclusive rights to Sunday games involving AFC teams. For games involving one team from each conference, the visiting team's conference is the determining factor.

So Fox Sports has rights to both of this Sunday's noon games involving Texas teams: the Arizona Cardinals at the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles at the Houston Texans.

San Antonio Fox affiliate KABB has elected to show the Cowboys game. Unfortunately, KENS 5 does not have broadcast rights for the Texans game, and instead will be showing the San Diego Chargers vs. the Miami Dolphins at noon. Our late-afternoon game will be the Denver Broncos vs. the New England Patriots.

The Texans game is scheduled to be on KZDC-AM 1250 ESPN Radio in San Antonio.
