Royal Stadium for the 2024 season, the complex SEC tiebreaker process that would determine the two teams to face off in the SEC Championship was beginning to take shape.
Alabama suffered a shocking 24-3 loss to Oklahoma, while Ole Miss fell to Florida 24-17. As a result, No. 10 Georgia clinched a spot in the SEC Championship and is now waiting to learn who their opponent will be.
Meanwhile, the Texas A&M Aggies, despite a heartbreaking 43-41 loss to Auburn in four overtimes, still have a chance to make it to the conference championship — if they can secure a win over Texas.
If the Longhorns defeat the Aggies, they’ll claim the top seed and set up a rematch with Georgia. The Bulldogs dominated Texas 30-15 last month in Austin.
