SAN ANTONIO — Former Spurs player Bryn Forbes was arrested Monday and accused of attacking a woman.
According to an arrest affidavit, Forbes came over to the victim's San Antonio apartment and punched her in the head.
The affidavit says Forbes pressed his arms against her throat, making it difficult for her to breathe. He also reportedly tightened his hands around her neck, according to the document. She was able to get away and run for help.
He is charged with Assault-Family Choking/Strangulation.
This comes after family violence charges against the 30-year-old former basketball player were dropped over an incident nearly a year ago after Forbes completed a pre-trial diversion program offered by Bexar County. The program requires an admission of guilt, no prior convictions, and a variety of other criteria.
