San Antonio Brahmas defeat Michigan Panthers, 19-9

The Brahmas will next face off against the Arlington Renegades on April 27.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Brahmas are now 3-1 overall after beating the Michigan Panthers Saturday at the Alamodome, 19-9.

Brahmas were on the board in the first quarter with a 5-yard carry by Running Back John Lovett. Marquez Stevenson carried the ball into the end zone for the extra point. Brahmas take the lead 7-0.

Later in the first quarter, Ryan Santoso scored with a 40-yard field goal, making the score 10-0.

The Brahmas scored again in the second quarter on a 4-yard touchdown pass from Quarterback Quinten Dormady to Wide Receiver Marquez Stevenson. The 1-yard attempted rush for the extra point by Tight End Cody Latimer failed. Brahmas now lead 16-0.

Michigan finally got on the board at the last minute in the second quarter with a 49-yard field goal made by Kicker Jake Bates. The Brahmas lead going into halftime, 16-3.

The third quarter was scoreless for both teams.

The Brahmas scored again in the fourth quarter with another field goal by Ryan Santoso., making the score 19-3.

The Panthers Quarterback Danny Etling threw a 41-yard pass to Wide Receiver Marcus Simms near the end of the fourth quarter, adding six more points for the team. Their attempt to score two more points didn't make it.

Brahmas win the game 19-9.

The Brahmas will next face off against the Arlington Renegades on April 27.
