San Antonio's new IFA Football team set to hold open tryouts

If you think you have what it takes to make it to the pro football level, here is your chance.

SAN ANTONIO — If you dream of becoming a pro-football player, this is the chance of a lifetime.

San Antonio's new IFA Football team will host open tryouts, and you are invited.

Open tryouts will begin on Saturday, July 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the New Braunfels Christian Academy, 220 FM1863, New Braunfels, TX 78132.

Those who perform well at tryouts will be given a contract on the spot. Five players are signed into training camp, which means there are plenty of open roster spots.

Head coach Hal Mumme will be observing, along with the coaching staff. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your skills to the coaching staff and a live audience.

The team aims to ensure the roster has a local feel, representing the San Antonio area.

IFA Football is a professional football league that will kick off in June 2025. It has teams in the USA and Mexico. San Antonio was awarded a team but still has yet to be given a team name.

To register for a tryout spot, visit the league's official website to complete the form.
