UTSA Roadrunners' Conference opponents in 2025 announced

The Roadrunners will play Rice, North Texas and Temple among other conference opponents in 2025. Their season opener will be a non-conference game at Texas A&M.

The UTSA Roadrunners open their ninth football season in August against Incarnate Word at the Alamodome.

SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA Roadrunners know who their conference opponents will be during the 2025 season, they just have to wait until February for the order and schedule.

The American Athletic Conference announced their scheduling model for conference games during the 2025 season.

UTSA will be hosting Army, East Carolina, Rice and Tulane next season in San Antonio. Their road games will be against Charlotte, North Texas, South Florida and Temple.

They also have four non-conference games next season. The season opener will be at Texas A&M on Aug. 30 in College Station. After that they'll host Texas State on Sept. 6 and UIW on Sept. 13. Their last non-conference game will be at Colorado State on Sept. 20.

The 2025 season will be The American's second in this 14-team format. One of the rules is that each team has to play eight conference games, with four home games and four road games.

The full 2025 conference schedule will be announced in February.

As for the 2024 season, UTSA will be kicking off their season against Kennesaw State on Aug. 31 at 2:30 p.m. at the Alamodome. UTSA was picked to finish second in the conference's preseason media poll.
