MLB player is already a World Series Champion before the series even starts

Taylor Trammell played with both the Dodgers and Yankees this season, making him a World Series Champion before the series even begins.

NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. — The World Series is set to start on Friday between the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees, but one player is already a World Series Champion before the series even begins.

Outfielder Taylor Trammell was claimed by the Dodgers on April 2 and played in five games for Los Angeles before being designated for assignment by the club.

Shortly after his brief stint in Los Angeles, the Yankees claimed the outfielder off waivers from the Dodgers on April 18.

Trammell also played in five games for the Bronx Bombers before being designated for assignment again on May 4. Trammell spent the rest of his 2024 campaign with the Scranton/Wilkes RailRiders, the Yankees Triple-A affiliate baseball club.

Despite only recording seven at-bats in the 2024 season, Trammell is the only player to guarantee himself a World Series ring because he played for both teams this season.
