BOSTON — For Astros rookie Zach Dezenzo, that first big league home run in Saturday's 5-4 win over Boston was a memorable one.
In just his fifth day in the Major Leagues, Dezenzo drove an eighth-inning offering from Red Sox pitcher Zack Kelly over the Green Monster and clear out of Fenway Park.
And after that Fenway-clearing blast, you'd think his Astros teammates would mob him when with a hero's return to the dugout, right?
Nope.
From Yordan to Bregman, Altuve and Jeremy, the response in the dugout was as subdued as they as if the rookie had hit a weak grounder to short....at first.
After a few seconds of Dezenzo's unanswered high-fives, his teammates celebrated with him.
Astros players were giving him the "silent treatment," a little fun teams have after a player's first home run.

This wasn't the first silent treatment the Astros players have given to a rookie on their first big league home run. Astros slugging catcher Yainer Diaz has 34 career longballs, but after his first one last year on the south side of Chicago, he got it, too.
The silent treatment isn't unique to the Astros. Other teams do it, too. It's also not unique to rookies on their first home home. Here's a flashback to 2018 when Astros' Jose Altuve got it....and had a little fun with it.
