ARLINGTON, Texas — The Texas Rangers announced that they will immortalize former third baseman and recently-inducted hall of famer Adrian Beltre with a bronze statue outside of Globe Life Field.

The announcement was made ahead of the Rangers game against the Minnesota Twins on Saturday during a celebration of Beltre's induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

"Coming in 2025, National Baseball Hall of Famer Adrian Beltre will be honored with a bronze statue just outside of Globe Life Field," said Chuck Morgan, the club's Executive Vice President of ballpark entertainment, promotions and production.

During the announcement, the crowd erupted with cheers. Beltre played with the Rangers for eight seasons, helping elevate the team to their second World Series appearance against the St. Louis Cardinals in 2011.

Beltre is a five-time Gold Glove winner, also boasting four Silver Slugger awards.

"I've been blessed to play the game that I love," Beltre said during his speech. "I'm truly grateful, thank God. Everything that's happened in my life lately and I'm truly truly happy to be on this field today."

Beltre joined the Rangers 12 seasons into his career, but his impact on the team will be forever remembered two-fold. Once on his Hall of Fame plaque, where he is depicted in a Rangers cap, and once more in that statue.

No official date has been announced for when the statue will be complete, but according to Chuck Morgan's speech, it will be in 2025.
