DALLAS — When the team you've rooted for your entire life finally wins their first championship, the elation is a indescribable feeling.
The emotions overwhelm you ... even bringing some to tears. That moment for one lifelong Rangers fan was caught on camera by his son and has went viral on social media. Cole Krutzfield videoed his dad during the final out as Josh Sborz struck out Ketel Marte looking to secure the Rangers' first World Series title in the team's 62-year history.
Standing up in dad pose a few feet from the TV screen, he threw his hands up in the air, let out an audible yell, took his hat off, sat down in his recliner, took his glasses off and let it all out. What a moment. Cole walked over and patted his dad on the back.
According to the X post, Krutzfield said his mom joked that her husband cried more in that moment than when Cole was born, to which he responded, "I’ve known you 23 years, I’ve known the Rangers all my life.”
The video has been viewed more than 8 million times since it was posted late Wednesday night.
