Austin Spurs announce 2023-24 training camp roster

There are some new and familiar faces on the Austin camp roster.

SAN ANTONIO — It's almost time for some Austin Spurs basketball action!

The San Antonio Spurs' G League affiliate recently announced their 2023-24 training camp roster and it features some familiar faces and new ones that'll be sure to keep Spurs fans interested all season long.

The roster includes three Spurs two-way players, Dominick Barlow, Charles Bediako, and Sir’Jabari Rice, and two players who competed with the team last year, Kaleb Johnson (brother of Spurs' Keldon Johnson) and Justin Kier. Austin selected David Shriver with the seventh overall pick in the first round of the 2023-24 NBA G League Draft.

Head coach Will Voigt is entering his first season with Austin along with new assistant coaches Willis Hall, Emmanuel Mavomo and Pierre Parker, the brother of Spurs legend Tony Parker. Jesse Childs returns for his third season as an assistant.

The Austin Spurs training camp roster stands at 13.

Expect Spurs rookie Sidy Cissoko to make the trip between San Antonio and Austin throughout the season.

Austin's schedule begins on the road versus the Squadron on Nov. 10 and on Nov. 12, the team will have their home opener against the Magic.

And there will be plenty to enjoy all season long with fun promotional nights such as Super Hero Night and Villain Night.

So make your way to Cedar Park, TX to watch the development of several players looking to find an NBA home either in San Antonio or elsewhere in the league.
