NBA TO IMPLEMENT NEW CELL PHONE POLICY

According to a report via SNY, the NBA is expected to communicate to teams, including the Spurs, an updated policy on cell phone and social media use that prohibits players and coaches from using their phones from tipoff until the end of the game.

SNY reports that the rule revision is intended to keep players and coaches focused on team matters during games and keep the integrity of the game in relation to gambling.

According to the report, a person will also be designated as a point of communication who will take calls or messages sent to players during games in case of emergencies.
