Avery Johnson gives his all-time retired Spurs team. Do you agree?

AJ assembles one incredible Spurs team.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs have several former players' jerseys retired at the Frost Bank Center.

From James Silas, Bruce Bowen, Johnny Moore, and Tim Duncan to David Robinson, the Spurs franchise has been home to many NBA legends.

And one former Spur who also has his jersey retired is giving his all-time Spurs starting five retired team.

Avery Johnson, who has his No. 6 jersey retired by the Spurs, recently gave his all-time retired Spurs team and he is asking for your reaction.

On his starting five are Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, George Gervin, and Robinson. He also names Sean Elliott as the sixth man.

"My Top 5 retired Spurs of all time with Sean Elliot as a sixth man. Do you agree or disagree?", said Johnson on X.

Now that is one fierce team!

Johnson's team will likely defy any opponent from scoring with the "Twin Towers" manning the paint and testing the opposing defenses from stopping scorers like Gervin, Parker, and Elliott.

And not to be outdone, Johnson deserves a role on the unit too!

His leadership on the court earned him the nickname "The Little General," and his ability to get the offense running, he would be a key member of any all-time retired Spurs team.

The Spurs retired Johnson's jersey in 2007. He is the Spurs' all-time leader in assists (with 4,474) and ranks among the franchise’s all-time leaders in games (fifth with 644), points (eighth with 6,486) and steals (fifth with 712).

He was a big part of the Spurs' 1999 title team hitting the clinching shot versus the Knicks in Game 5 of the NBA Finals in New York City.

And perhaps one day another Spur will join this list of franchise greats: Victor Wembanyama.

Here's what AJ had to say about the Spurs rookie sensation.
