Blazers' Sharpe is looking to put Spurs' Victor Wembanyama on a poster

The Blazers guard says if he gets a chance, he will look to posterize the Spurs rookie.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs and Portland Trail Blazers will meet in the regular season for the first time this regular season on Dec. 28 in Portland.

But one member of the Blazers is already looking toward that game and is targeting the Spurs rookie sensation, Victor Wembanyama.

Shaedon Sharpe recently spoke about not being afraid to dunk on opposing players. When Wembanyama's name came up, the Blazer said he will try to put Wemby on a poster if an opportunity presents itself.

"Yeah, I mean if he’s there then I’ll try," Sharpe said.

However, when he was reminded of Wembanyama's height, it caused Sharpe to pause.

"He’s what 7-1, 7-2? He's 7-4! Are you serious? I mean if I get the chance I'll try," he said.

The 6-6 guard will have to scale over the towering Wembanyama if he wants to accomplish that tremendous feat.

He is averaging 2.2 blocks per game and his eight-foot wingspan will certainly cause Sharpe issues if he wants to challenge him at the rim. He alters shots, recently recorded eight blocks in a game versus Memphis, and causes players to pull back from penetrating the rim.

Any player would want to see if they can dunk on the rookie sensation but not many have succeeded this regular season.

Good luck Sharpe.
