Bucks 132, Spurs 119: What they said after the game

Without Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs fell to the Bucks on the road.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs could not get the road win without Victor Wembanyama against the Milwaukee Bucks losing 132-119.

Zach Collins had 22 points and eight rebounds in the win. Jeremy Sochan had nine points and 11 rebounds. He also grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds, marking just the third game of his career with double-digit boards.

Keldon Johnson added 28 points and 12 rebounds to lead the team. Devin Vassell recorded 17 points in the loss.

Also, things got heated during the game between Sochan and Bucks' Bobby Portis.

The Spurs are 4-22 on the season, and will next visit the Chicago Bulls Thursday night.

Here's a sample of what the teams said after the game.

SPURS

Gregg Popovich:

"Other than the start of the game where we looked like a deer in headlights, we weren't aggressive at all. They (Bucks) came at us with such a barrage offensively making shots that I think we got down. But after that, I thought we played a pretty good game. Keldon obviously got aggressive."

Collins:

"I think we were just asleep for probably the first four minutes. It didn't help that we couldn't hit a shot but I think our mindset just from the jump wasn't good. We have to be more professional. Start games better because we played pretty well the rest of the way. That hurts when all we had to do was start a little bit better. Be more aggressive."

BUCKS
