SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Spurs' Keldon Johnson is looking out for San Antonio kids this Christmas holiday with the "Cheerful Slam Jam" toy drive.
The event will be on December 16th from 2:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. to collect toys for Christmas.
The event is open for all to donate and will feature special guests including Johnson's San Antonio teammate Blake Wesley and UTSA's football player Spencer Burford.
This will be a perfect time for Silver and Black fans to not only help kids this Christmas season but also a chance to meet the Spurs tandem.
The Spurs forward has been putting San Antonio first during the holiday season.
He also hosted a Thanksgiving turkey drive with Wesley joining him in the effort to feed local families.
The Spurs are also getting into the holiday spirit. The Spurs Season of Giving efforts for this year will encompass several events taking place throughout the community.
Recently, Malaki Branham and Charles Bassey took part in a Christmas tree giveaway for families in need on the city's Southside.
"This is my city. I just want to show out. They helped me a lot when I came here as a young kid when I was 14 years old," Bassey said. "I love stuff like this, just being around people, being around families and kids. It's great."
Johnson's toy drive will be held at Sam Houston High School located at 4635 E. Houston St., 78220.
