SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs are in the midst of a rebuild, and future trades could be considered should the team decide to revamp the roster.
However, one player more than likely to never be traded is Victor Wembanyama.
It would take an incredible offer to make the Spurs consider trading their franchise player on a scale probably the NBA has never seen before.
But would trading for Lakers' LeBron James be enough to trade away Wemby?
Probably not, but one fan outlet proposed a deal involving Wemby, James, and more, with Spurs fans roasting it.
Fan site Basketball Forever shared on social media their fictitious trade with Wemby and Jeremy Sochan heading to the Lakers, with the Spurs landing James, Austin Reaves, D'Angelo Russell, and the 2026 first-round pick.
Spurs fans saw the fan-made trade and proceeded to roast it on X.

It is safe to say Spurs fans are not on board with this fan-made proposed deal, and for good reason.
James is seeing the end of his NBA career winding down while Wemby is just starting his.
And does Russell, Reaves, and another first-round pick added even move the needle to get close to equal value for the French big man?
Also, throwing in Sochan and Wemby to the Lakers would likely boost them back into one of the best in the West, while the Spurs would be taking steps backward in this rebuild.
