Five things to watch: Spurs vs. Rockets

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs (0-1) will host in-state rival Houston Rockets (0-1) tonight at the Frost Bank Center.

GAME REWIND

The Spurs are coming off a home loss to the Dallas Mavericks, 126-119.

Victor Wembanyama had 15 points, five rebounds, and two blocks while Devin Vassell added 23 points and five rebounds. Keldon Johnson finished with 17 points and nine rebounds while Tre Jones had 16 points and six assists in the loss. Zach Collins had 14 points on the night.

“We’re a young group. We still got to learn, and we still have a lot of learning to go. It’s our first game, so we can’t overreact. We can’t panic," said Vassell. "It’s a 48-minute game. We were up a lot of the game and credit to [the Mavericks]. They’re a good team. They weathered the storm, and we just have to execute. That’s all it is.”

Spurs' Devonte Graham is out due to league suspension.

Houston's Tari Eason, Jock Landale, and Victor Oladipo are all out.
