Grizzlies 120, Spurs 108: What the teams said after the game

"It was two different games for us," said Spurs' Cedi Osman following the loss to Memphis.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs losing skid extends to eight in a row after losing to the Memphis Grizzlies 120-108 at home. San Antonio held a 19-point lead during the game versus Memphis.

Victor Wembanyama had 19 points, eight blocks, and 13 rebounds while Cedi Osman recorded 13 points. Zach Collins had 16 points and seven rebounds in the loss. Jeremy Sochan had 16 points. Keldon Johnson added 22 points while Sandro Mamukelashvili had five points and two rebounds. Devin Vassell was out due to injury.

The Spurs are 3-10 on the season, and will next host the Los Angeles Clippers Monday night.

Here's a sample of what the teams said after the game.

SPURS

Gregg Popovich

"We get those periods where the physicality builds and we go dry offensively. And when you don't score and you're in transition defense all the time it makes it difficult and the leads dissipate. It's just that consistency to continue to score."

Osman

"It was two different games for us. In the first half, I think we played great and in the second half we just couldn't respond to their run. Defensively, I think we did not have a good game in the second half. I think they [Memphis] pushed us into taking tough shots and I think we were not really tough in the third and fourth quarter defensively."

Wembanyama

"I think it comes down to how important we individually consider our dedication and efforts to respect the game plan. I think sometimes we forget, all of us, to do some of these efforts and it costs us."
