SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Spurs' Victor Wembanyama, Jeremy Sochan and Dominick Barlow will represent the team this weekend at NBA All-Star Weekend 2024.
Here's a breakdown of the events the players will participate in at Indianapolis.
RISING STARS GAME
Wembanyama and Sochan will go head-to-head at the Rising Stars Game on Friday, Feb. 16, at 8 p.m. CT on TNT.
Wembanyama will be on Team Pau Gasol while Sochan will suit up for Team Jalen Rose. It will feature a three-game mini-tournament among four teams of NBA rookies, sophomores and NBA G League Players.
Wemby is the 11th player in Spurs history to be selected for the All-Star weekend event, while Sochan makes his second consecutive appearance.
SKILLS CHALLENGE
Wemby will participate in the All-Star Skills Challenge on Saturday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. on TNT.
At the event, he'll team up with fellow top NBA picks Anthony Edwards and Paolo Banchero. However, Wemby said he won't be practicing for the event and wished he was selected to the West All-Star team.
"Being selected as an All-Star would have been a great achievement, especially in my rookie year," Wembanyama said.
G-LEAGUE 'NEXT UP' GAME
Barlow will participate in the G-League "Next Up" game on Sunday, Feb. 18, at 12:30 CT on nbagleague.com. He will be on Team Strictly.
"It's exciting about making it to All-Star Weekend. You watched it as a kid growing up. Knowing that I'm going to be a part of that is pretty cool," he said.
With the Austin Spurs, he averaged 25.2 points, 2.0 assists, 1.1 blocks, and 7.8 rebounds in 12 games played at the Showcase Cup Tournament.
The NBA G League Up Next Game will feature four teams of seven players competing in two semifinal games. The winner of each semifinal will face off in a Championship game.
