SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Spurs' Jeremy Sochan has officially announced that he will play for Team Poland at the 2025 EuroBasket tournament next summer.
“Looking to the next summer, I think we need to prepare better mentally and physically. We need to be ready. We are all very excited to play at home, in front of our crowd, an additional player for us. In the Olympic Games, we saw European powerhouses like Germany, Serbia, and France, so we know we need to be ready to compete with the best next year," he said, translated via EuroHoops.
Sochan and Poland fell short at this past Olympic Qualifying Tournament, losing to the Bahamas and Finland. The Spurs forward did his part to help the team, averaging 18.0 points per game, including 9.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists.
It is not surprising that Sochan will wear his country's colors again, considering part of the tournament will be in Poland.
