SAN ANTONIO — A Judson ISD student is a lot happier after giving Victor Wembanyama his one-of-a-kind drawing inspired by the rookie of the year himself.
Aaron James, a Crestview Elementary School student attended the Spurs first preseason game on Oct. 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Aaron was donning his Spurs jersey with Fiesta colors and carried around a sign that read "Wemby, I have a gift for you. Go Spurs Go!"
After the game, Wemby met with Aaron and accepted an alien-themed drawing the young student had created in art class, inspired by Wemby's nickname, "The Alien."
Judson ISD shared the news on their Facebook page after the game.
