The Spurs are 11-45 on the season and will next visit the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night.

Here's a sample of what the teams said after the game.

SPURS

Coach Gregg Popovich:

"I couldn't be more proud of them. We made mistakes. They (Kings) made mistakes. They're an experienced team now, with the young kids having grown up. (Domantas) Sabonis and (De'Aaron) Fox are all-star caliber players and added some free agents. For us to do what we did. I couldn't be more proud of them."

Wembanyama:

"Their (Kings) experience showed and our lack of experience showed as well. It's not supposed to be easy. It's part of the game."

"I'm ready (for increased minutes). It makes sense. I have to get better at every aspect of the game and basketball but also physically. It's great this is finally happening."

Vassell:

"They (Kings) made some tough shots down the stretch and we didn't. Simple as that. It's good for us, the atmosphere that we were playing in, they were kind of in our shoes a couple of years ago. Being a young team. Not getting too many wins. It's big for us being a young group playing these types of games. We just got to learn to close them out."
