NBA Top Shot drops the first Spurs' Wembanyama NFT

The Wembanyama NFT highlights the Spurs rookie's regular season debut.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Spurs' Victor Wembanyama trading cards are being scooped up by fans and are selling for high prices.

Now, Spurs fans can add a new item to their Wembanyama collectible stash.

NBA Top Shot has recently announced that the first NFT NBA Top Shot Moment featuring the Spurs rookie is now available.

The NFT captures Wembanyama's regular season NBA debut against the Mavericks.

It features Spurs fans waving their cell phone lights, Wemby in the huddle with his teammates, and commemorating his first NBA three-point shot.

His NFT is part of NBA Top Shot's Rookie Debut Series 2023.

But get ready to dig deep into your pockets.

Currently, the first Wembanyama NFT is selling at $268.00 which is the lowest asking price for those who own it and are selling it.

The NFT is limited to 4,000 and the first one in the series is going for $3000.00 or more on the NBA Top Shot fan market.

If you want to press your luck and buy a base pack in the hopes of getting a Wembanyama NFT, they currently cost $18.00.

Note that you only have a 10% chance of hitting on a Wemby rare NFT.

You can also spend $79.00 for a 100% chance at landing one of the headline NBA rookie NFTs.

And if that is not enough, NBA Top Shot announced that today collectors can their hands on new packs containing five guaranteed Rookie Debut Moments in two different ways.

There's an ongoing presale window to enter a draw for access (join before 1 PM ET) or a conventional drop available on both app and web, starting at 3 PM ET (note that the waiting room for the web queue opens at 2 PM ET).

Other NBA rookies in the NFT series include Brandon Miller, Chet Holmgren, Scoot Henderson, Amen Thompson, and Ausar Thompson.
