SAN ANTONIO โ The San Antonio Spurs recently revealed the team's new City Edition jerseys that pay homage to the 1968 World's Fair.
It is a nod to the city's roots and its impact on the community.
However, a local San Antonio graphic artist tried his hand at creating a Spurs jersey that also reflects one of the city's most recognizable spots: Fred's Fish Fry.
Local digital artist Adrian Galvan recently shared his concept of a Fred's Fish Fry-Spurs jersey mashup and it is "puro" San Antonio.
The John F. Kennedy High School graduate captured the restaurant's box color scheme, red and blue fishes to go along with the Spurs logo.
So what inspired Galvan to make this concept Spurs jersey? The new Spurs official City Edition uniforms.
"People were saying that the new City Editions look like Bill Miller's BBQ restaurant," Galvan said. "So I thought another San Antonio known restaurant that a lot of people love is Fred's Fish Fry. So I it created off the signature food box."
The fan reaction is incredible and needless to say, Spurs fans would definitely wear Galvan's concept jersey to games.
