SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs have agreed on a one-year contract with free agent guard Malachi Flynn, according to a report from Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Flynn turned heads when he posted a career-high 50 points in an April 3 game for the Pistons.

He averaged a more modest 5.5 points, 1.9 assists and 1.7 rebounds across 12.7 minutes per game.

Flynn played for Toronto, New York and Detroit in the 2023-24 season.

He would be joining a group of new additions at guard that already includes 12-time All Star Chris Paul and No. 4 draft pick Stephon Castle. The Spurs also have returning guards Tre Jones, Devin Vassell and Malaki Branham.
