SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs are gearing up fans for the new season with plenty to do leading up to the home opener versus Houston.
The team invites fans to participate in Spurs Tipoff Week from Monday, Oct. 21, through Saturday, Oct. 26.
This weeklong celebration across San Antonio, consisting of in-person activations, giveaways, social media campaigns, and more, will build momentum and excitement for the team’s home opener on Saturday against the Rockets at 7:30 p.m. For more details on all the activations, text TIPOFF to 210-444-5940.
“We’re taking over San Antonio throughout Tipoff Week and calling on our entire Spurs Family to join us in building up the hype for what’s set to be an electric 2024-25 season,” said Becky Kimbro, Senior Vice President of Brand Engagement at Spurs Sports & Entertainment in a release. “We look forward to seeing the unique ways our fans come out to support this season’s tipoff, whether you’re at the arena, online or out around the city.”
Here are just a few of the activities fans can do ahead of the start of the new season:
- Monday to Saturday: Free Fries at Whataburger. One (1) free order of medium fries at all Whataburger restaurants in San Antonio and Austin via the Whataburger app. Download the app before Oct. 21 to redeem; it is only valid for one-time use.
- Wednesday: #SpursFanSince ticket giveaway. Fans can post how long they’ve been a Spurs fan on Instagram or X using the hashtag #SpursFanSince to enter to win free tickets to an upcoming Spurs game.
- Thursday at 6 p.m.: Tipoff Watch Party at The Rock. Head to the Tipoff Watch Party at The Rock at La Cantera for the Spurs season opener on the road against the Dallas Mavericks at 6:30 p.m. The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. and include DJ Quake, Zay Zay, and giveaways. Entry is free, and the party is open to all ages.
- Saturday at 5:30 p.m.: Pregame Tipoff Party at ULTRA Club. Bring your Spurs spirit to the ULTRA Club at Frost Bank Center for this pregame party before the Spurs home opener against the Rockets, tipping off at 7:30 p.m. A game ticket is required to enter.
