Here's a sample of what the teams said after the game.
SPURS
Mitch Johnson:
"It was excellent. 13 points in the fourth quarter versus a team that has been there many times and thrives in those moments. I am very happy with the physicality, with the connectivity. It was our best quarter to date, my opinion defensively."
Paul
"We talked a lot better. We talked about defense a lot today, shoot around, but a team (Warriors) that good with that much offensive firepower, and where they move and share the ball. To only give up 13 points in the fourth quarter. Is huge for our team."
Wembanyama:
"I have a blind trust in him (Castle). Said many times he's playing like he's much more experienced than he is. I don't know where that comes from, but it's a good thing that we can trust him like that, blindly in the fourth quarters."
Castle:
"Staying in the gym and watching film has been the main thing. I love doing it (defense). I feel like it (defense) helps our team tremendously. I feel like if we set the tone on the defensive end, especially at the point of attack, I feel like that sets the tone for the game."
Barnes:
"I think the biggest thing for us is just doing it by committee and celebrating each other's success. Shout out to, obviously, Blake (Wesley). Blake tonight, Mamu (Sandro Mamukelashvili) tonight, just bringing energy off the bench. Both those guys and now the rotation, but they stepped up for us in a big way tonight."
