SPURS
Coach Gregg Popovich:
"We didn't shoot as well in the second half, but we didn't turn it over like we did in the first half. Malaki [Branham] came in and got three or four buckets. We needed to score. We're having a tough time, so he deserves a lot of credit for keeping us going offensively, and overall, the defense again was good."
Wembanyama:
"It's always the challenge for me. Moving my body in the space after having a game off. It's just comes with rhythm. The altitude made it hard for all of us to keep that pace. We have to rely on other stuff and other things like trusting our teammates sharing the ball. This is one of the major reasons we won the game."
Vassell:
"I'm just trying to be a leader out there on both ends of the floor. I talked about it earlier in the season where I just want to be that defensive anchor. I want to be somebody who is picking up and just being disruptive. Defensive end, I've been trying to anchor that and offensively coach puts me in a great position to get downhill. Get to my spots. Pick them apart."
