SAN ANTONIO — It's time for the kids to head back to school, and the San Antonio Spurs are doing their part to help the community.
Spurs Sports & Entertainment is hosting its third annual Back to School Bash at Frost Bank Center on Thursday, Aug. 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. Parents, students, and teachers in grades K-12 are invited to attend this event for free school supplies and resources while supplies last. Registration is now open and required.
“We believe in building leaders and legacies where we live, work, play, and learn,” said Dr. Kara Allen, Chief People, Impact, and Belonging Officer at SS&E. “Empowering teachers and families with essential resources is vital to student success in and beyond the classroom. We are honored to connect with our community and share resources for students, caregivers and teachers who will be equipped to start the new school year confident and prepared to grow together.”
In addition to the necessary supplies, the event will also offer vaccines, vision checks, dental screenings, haircuts by appointment through the registration link, and more.
In addition, there will be information booths for school enrollment, extracurricular activities, and mental health support.
Parents or guardians must be present with their children, and educators must have their teacher ID upon entering the event. Items and services will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and only while supplies last.

Mills is now in sixth place with 528 points, passing Ginobili's 523 points, which he scored with Argentina.
Mills certainly ups his game whenever he puts on the Team Australia uniform. He is called "FIBA Patty" for his tremendous play on the international court.
