San Antonio Spurs hosting free gaming at 'Game at The Rock' event

Tre Jones will be testing his gaming skills at the free event.

SAN ANTONIO — Get your gaming skills ready and head to the Frost Bank Plaza.

The San Antonio Spurs announced “Game at The Rock,” a free day of gaming and basketball with Alienware at The Rock at La Cantera on Sunday, May 19.

And the good news is that it is free.

The team announced that players of all ages and skill levels are invited to attend the event at 11 a.m. on Frost Plaza to participate in free play and watch Spurs player Tre Jones, gaming influencer SypherPK, and professional e-sports Team Liquid members compete.

Players can enter a raffle onsite for prizes and a chance to play against Tre and Team Liquid later in the day, with the competition streamed on the big screen.

But there is more to the event than gaming.

You can participate in basketball competitions and skills challenges led by Spurs Sports Academy coaches.

So circle your calendar and head to Frost Plaza (1 Spurs Way, 78256). There will be free parking, no need to register, and Coyote and DaBull (Austin Spurs mascot) will appear. There will also be food trucks, a DJ, a Spurs merch truck, and prizes.
