Spurs' Keldon Johnson puts on the gloves and gets in the boxing ring

Johnson is not just a boxing fan; he'll also wear gloves and enter the ring.

SAN ANTONIO — In case you didn't know, San Antonio Spurs forward Keldon Johnson is a big fan of combat sports, especially boxing.

He is such a fan that he lent his voice at the "Brawl Or Nothing" boxing event in Oct. 2023 as a commentator.

But he doesn't just admire the sport from afar. He will get in the boxing ring and test his skills.

Recently, he stopped at San Antonio's boxing coach Ronnie Cantu's gym to get in the ring and work up a sweat.

Check out a video of Keldon working the ring and the boxing gloves.

This is not Johnson's first time in the boxing ring. He trains in the offseason with San Antonio boxing legend Jesse James Leija.

He can also be seen at boxing events in San Antonio and is a fan of San Antonio boxer Mario Barrios, who always supports him at his fights.

Johnson is one of many Spurs who have worked out with Cantu. Malaki Branham has also gotten in the ring with the boxing coach.

As in years past, the Spurs will likely continue their preseason tradition of working out with Leija before the new season begins.
