Fan reaction: Spurs land No. 4, 8 at NBA Draft Lottery

The Spurs will have a pair of first-round picks at the 2024 NBA Draft.

SAN ANTONIO — The 2024 NBA Draft Lottery turned out well for the San Antonio Spurs.

The team will select Nos. 4 and 8 in the first round of the upcoming NBA Draft. The Raptors' No. 8 pick came as part of the Jakob Poelt deal in 2023.

The Spurs had a 10.5 chance at winning the No. 1 spot, and the team vaulted into the top five despite many projections having the Silver and Black landing at No. 6 or 7.

If the Spurs keep their picks, there is talent the team could look to add to help in the rebuild.

Kentucky’s Reed Sheppard, European point guard Nikola Topic, and Rob Dillingham could be on the Spurs' draft wish list. Each addresses a need for point guard help or perimeter shooting.

San Antonio may also look to trade up, down, or out of the draft itself, which many consider a tepid draft talent pool.

After the NBA Draft order was announced, here's what Silver and Black fans had to say about the results:

The NBA Draft will be from June 26-27 at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, NY.
