SAN ANTONIO — The NBA announced that San Antonio Spurs Victor Wembanyama's jersey is among the top-selling NBA jerseys for the second half of the 2023-34 season.
His No. 1 jersey ranks No. 4 in the list behind notable players such as Stephen Curry (No. 1), LeBron James (No. 2), and Jayson Tatum (No.3). No other rookie from the 2023-24 class is among the top 15.
Wemby's jersey also ranks ahead of many notable players in the league, such as Mavericks' Luka Doncic, Devin Booker, and Kevin Durant, to name a few other notable names on the list.
Wembanyama's jersey was also among the top-selling NBA jerseys for the first half of the 2023-34 season. It marked the highest ranking on the Most Popular Jersey list for a rookie since the Celtics’ Kristaps Porziņģis in the 2015-16 season.
In addition, the NBA announced that San Antonio made the top 10 in Team Merchandise sales in the second half of the season. The team lands at No. 9, just above the NBA champs, Denver Nuggets.
During the first half of the season, San Antonio made the top 10 in Team Merchandise sales for the first time since the 2017-18 season, landing at No. 9.
This is another example of Wembanyama's impact on the team since his arrival.
Aside from his jersey and team merchandise sales, his arrival spiked Spurs ticket sales, allowed the team's game to be featured more often on national television, and brought fans to away games.
Wemby collectibles are also hot items.
A one-of-one NBA Top Shot NFT featuring his league debut recently sold for $145,000.
