Spurs waive guard Jamaree Bouyea; Players attend the UT vs. UTSA football game

Several Spurs players traveled to Austin to watch the UTSA vs. UT football game.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs announced that the team has waived guard Jamaree Bouyea. 

He appeared in five games for the Spurs in the 2024 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, averaging 11.8 points, 3.6 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 3.00 steals in 24.3 minutes.

In three games with San Antonio last season, he averaged 3.7 points and 3.0 rebounds in 12.7 minutes. In 12 games with the Austin Spurs, he averaged 15.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 6.25 assists and 2.33 steals in 36.2 minutes.

He will likely land in Austin with the Austin Spurs.

UTSA Football may have lost to the University of Texas Longhorns, 56-7, but that did not stop several Spurs players from making the trip up Highway I-35 for the game.

Keldon Johnson (wearing a No. 0 UTSA jersey), Devin Vassell (wearing a UT jersey), Jeremy Sochan, Riley Minix, Harrison Ingram, Sidy Cissoko, Stephon Castle, Malaki Branham, Zach Collins, Blake Wesley, David Duke Jr., Sandro Mamukelashvili, and others, including team great Manu Ginobili took in the game. They even got to fire off the UT cannon.
