The Rock at La Cantera's Official Spurs Fan Shop grand opening announced; Spurs Give & Frost Bank awards $200,000 to local organizations

The new fan shop's grand opening will be open to the public and will feature the Spurs Coyote.

SAN ANTONIO — The Rock at La Cantera announced the grand opening of the Official Spurs Fan Shop, presented by Victory Capital, which will take place on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. 

The new retail space is within the Victory Capital Performance Center, the San Antonio Spurs' practice facility.

The grand opening will be open to the public and will feature appearances from the Spurs Coyote, Hype Squad, and a unique opportunity to take part in a free shoe and hat customization station. 

“This grand opening represents the latest milestone in the growth of this dynamic community space,” said Caroline Churchill, Chief Marketing Officer of Victory Capital, in a release. “We are excited that Spurs fans will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique shopping experience inside the walls of the cutting-edge Victory Capital Performance Center.”

SPURS GIVE AND FROST BANK AWARD $200,000 TO LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS

The Spurs continue to give back to the community.

Spurs Give and Frost Bank awarded $200,000 to two local organizations as part of Operation Renovation. 

The funding was granted to the Madonna Center and Teatro de Artes de Juan Seguin to enhance their facilities and provide students with safe places to play and learn. Online applications for the 2024-25 Operation Renovation Grant are now open through Friday, Nov. 15, at 11:59 p.m.

“We are so excited to continue our sixth year of Operation Renovation with Frost,” said Julie McCarty, Director of Community Investments for Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E). “These grants have proven to be transformative to the organizations who receive them and we remain committed to investing in these efforts for our community.”
