The race is heating up and both NBA rookies are making their case to take home the hardware.

Wembanyama has been stellar through 17 games. He is averaging 19.2 points per game, 9.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.6 blocks.

Holmgren is posting 17.9 points per game, 8.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.2 blocks per game.

In their first meeting this season, it was the Thunder and Holmgren beating the Spurs and Wembanyama, 123-87.

The Spurs and Thunder will next meet on Jan. 24, 2024, in San Antonio. It will be another shot for Wembanyama to prove he is a better rookie than Holmgren.
