Wembanyama pulls off an incredible dunk; Pair of guards reportedly wanted to play for Spurs

Wemby gave the fans an eye-opening dunk! 😮

SAN ANTONIO — The 2024 France Olympics are just around the corner, and San Antonio Spurs' Victor Wembanyama is eager to participate in front of the home crowd.

“It is still a dream to be able to be at the Olympic Games. I see it almost like any other sporting experience, but even more demanding. Mentally, the emotion is tremendous. It’s hard to realize that it’s really the Olympics. Of course, it’s different from when I used to watch them on TV. It’s still a dream,” Wembanyama said during the pre-Olympic press conference.

Team France wrapped up its exhibition play with the basketball tournament nearing, and Wemby gave the fans in attendance a treat.

How about an in-between-the-legs, off-the-backboard, one-handed dunk from the 7-4 Spurs big man?

Who else can't wait to see what is next from the French big man?

In group play, France will play Japan, Germany, and Brazil to start their gold medal run.

A PAIR OF GUARDS REPORTEDLY INTERESTED IN PLAYING FOR THE SPURS

According to a report from Yahoo! Sports, guard Trae Young and Josh Giddy expressed interest in joining the Spurs.

“Trae Young — who had the Spurs on his wishlist of next teams, … if (he) had moved this summer —  (and) Josh Giddey … also held an interest in joining San Antonio,” reports Yahoo.

Young had been circling the Spurs rumor mills for months; it seems he'll remain in Atlanta after the team traded ex-Spur Dejounte Murray to the Pelicans.

Giddy would have been interesting. He's a dynamic passer who fell out of favor in Oklahoma City after a subpar playoff showing and inconsistent outings with the Thunder.

Ultimately, he was traded to the Bulls.
