DALLAS — Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey is heading back to the field after wrapping up his jury duty responsibilities, the team confirmed Wednesday.
Aubrey was selected to serve on the 12-person jury last week, first missed the team’s practice last Wednesday and WFAA’s content partners at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports Aubrey missed scheduled practice with the team since. Despite missing practice, Aubrey did play Sunday in the Cowboys loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Aubrey and the jury he served on in Tarrant County’s 297th District Court found Daniel Rincones guilty of one of the two charges against him, the Star-Telegram reports. The jury sentenced Rincones to 65 years in prison for a felony assault charge in the domestic violence strangulation case, according to the newspaper.
The Cowboys say the 2023 All Pro is expected to resume his normal practice schedule tomorrow.
