Prescott knocked from Falcons game with hamstring injury; CeeDee Lamb struggling with joint issue

The Cowboys starting quarterback appeared to injury his hamstring on a pass attempt in the third quarter. WR CeeDee Lamb is dealing with his own injury.

ATLANTA — Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is out for the remainder of today's game in Atlanta with an injured hamstring. He appeared to injure it on a pass attempt in the third quarter as the Cowboys drove down the field for a long Brandon Aubrey field goal to make it 21-13 Falcons.

"I felt something I never felt, and yeah, it was tough to walk on at that point," Prescott said in a postgame press conference.

Prescott completed 18 of 24 passes on the day, for 133 yards and a wild touchdown pass to Rico Dowdle, who bobbled it, nearly lost it to Atlanta, but then caught the ball on his back in the endzone. The Cowboys' offense was largely stagnant otherwise.

The Cowboys ended up losing the game 21-27.

When a reporter asked Prescott what the outlook on his injury was, he responded with this: "It's hard for me to say. I would say I'll be out there next week... Got to get a picture of it. When we get a picture of it, I guess we'll see how bad it is."

Cooper Rush entered the game in the fourth quarter for Dallas and completed one of his three passes on the first possession. Dallas punted after just five plays with the football.

Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb also dealt with an injury in the game against Atlanta. Lamb briefly went out with a right AC joint issue. According to Jerry Jones, the receiver will get an MRI, but Jones remains hopeful Lamb will be good to go for next week's match against the Philadelphia Eagles since he was able to play through it Sunday.
