San Antonio couple wins trip to the Super Bowl

"I wasn't very sure if this was real or not," said Gabriel Valenzuela

SAN ANTONIO — One San Antonio couple gets to cross going to the Super Bow off their bucket list, thanks to a sweepstakes.

"I work in an industry that takes a lot out of us, in the oil and gas industry, so I'm coming to terms now that it's real," said Gabriel Valenzuela, who won the sweepstakes. "It's been about two and a half weeks since I won the sweepstakes. I never believed it and now it's kind of reality now."

Valenzuela explained he entered the sweepstakes put on by CONEXPO-CON/AGG after seeing it come across through social media. CONEXPO-CON/AGG is tradeshow that happens every three years.

"I remember it like it was yesterday and said what the heck, I'm going to take the time and enter this sweepstakes like I've done in the past and other sweepstakes, join the sweepstakes," he said. "Then I get an email stating that I won the Super Bowl, and then I kind of follow through, follow through, and it led to this moment."

Valenzuela's wife, Teresa didn't believe it.

"I thought it was a joke. Like I seriously didn't think it was true," she said. "Just the vibe of being in Vegas with so many people, just everything happening, Usher, halftime, Reba... it's going to amazing."

A lifelong Raiders fan, Valenzuela is excited to see the Big Game at Allegiant Stadium.

"I wasn't very sure if this was real or not," he said. "You know, I'm a little guy. Things like this don't happen to me."
