HOUSTON — The Houston Texans are visiting Baltimore to take on the Ravens in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs this weekend.
Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The Ravens planned out halftime performances and question-and-answer sessions with former players, among other things.
Legend of the Game
Coincidence? Of all the players in the Ravens' storied franchise, they named Jacoby Jones as the "Legend of the Game" for the matchup with Houston.
Some may remember that Jacoby Jones was a third-round pick of the Texans in 2007. After spending his first five seasons in Houston, he went to Baltimore and helped the Ravens win Super Bowl XLVII. He had a game-changing catch against the Broncos and a kickoff return for a touchdown in the championship run. Jones is the Ravens' all-time leader in kickoff return average at 31.3 yards. He's also a former Pro Bowler with six returns for touchdowns in his three seasons with the Ravens.
Jones' last game as a member of the Texans was against the Ravens in the 2011 playoffs AFC Divisional Round. In that game, Jones fumbled twice, losing one of them. Baltimore won, 20-13.
Throughout the game on Saturday, the Ravens will also recognize Ring of Honor members Peter Boulware, Jamal Lewis, Michael McCrary and Lenny Moore.
Honorary captain
The Ironman, Cal Ripken Jr., is serving as an honorary captain for the game. The Orioles legend holds the MLB record for most consecutive games played with 2,632.
Halftime performance
Jimmy Eat World will put on the halftime show.
National anthem
Parijita Bastola will sing the national anthem. Bastola lives in Severna Park, Maryland and was a finalist on Season 22 of "The Voice."
