"I've been here elven years and it is certainly the best field we've had since I've been here," said VTO Executive Driector Larson Segerdahl. "I think going even further back it will prove to be one of the strongest fields ever."
The VTO was hopeful when they made the decision to play the week before The Masters several years that this would be the payoff, the world's best still coming to compete before arriving at Augusta National.
"I think guys are realizing the value of staying sharp," he added.
The player deadline to register is still days away later this month, and the Segerdahl expects even more top Tour names to enter.
"Our field will 100% look even better in the coming days," he said. "We're already in talks with continued player announcements," Segerdahl said.
The VTO has eight of the top twenty players in the World Golf Rankings already committed with seven of those players in the top fifteen.
"That's only gonna get stronger," said Segerdahl. "I'm excited for San Antonio and this community."
Tour players have until Friday March 29th to commit to the 2024 VTO.
