SAN ANTONIO — San Antonians may see some strange looking lights in the San Antonio skies over the next couple of days, but don't worry they're not UFOs.
Some lucky viewers were able to see the lights Wednesday night sending in videos of what looked like multiple lights in the sky shining in a straight, single row. These lights are known as Starlink satellites provided by SpaceX.
These Starlink satellites provide internet coverage across the globe and provide something interesting for stargazers to monitor. In fact, San Antonians will have the opportunity to catch a few more chances to see the "satellite train" in action.
Below are the estimate times and dates in San Antonio according to the SpaceX website:
- Thursday - 8:58 p.m. - 10:34 p.m.
- Friday - 5:49 a.m.
- Saturday - 5:27 a.m.
Visibility for Starlink satellite is dependent on weather, including sky conditions. More information is provided on their website.
